The AI Impacts workshop is a workshop taking place at the University of Hong Kong. The workshop aims to bring together a large, diverse group of global researchers from academia, industry, and government working on issues directly and indirectly related to the impacts of AI on society. We construe these impacts very broadly, to include issues in theoretical and applied ethics, applied machine learning, public policy design, law, economics, and politics.

Each year, 4-5 researchers are invited to present their work, and the remaining presentation slot is filled via a CFP associated with a prize (currently $1500 USD). Air travel and accommodations are provided for all accepted papers.

The workshop was started, and continues to be co-organized, by AI&Humanity Lab. For any general inquiries, please contact aiimpactsworkshop@gmail.com.
